Love Your Grass
It’s my lawn that I want to keep looking trim, green, and lush. It doesn’t take long for it to get over grown and a bit shaggy.
The sight of a well groomed yard is delightful and easy on the eyes. When there are bushes and shrubs, flowers and trees to frame the picture, it becomes clear that someone was paying attention to the details.
How about your thoughts? Do they get over grown with weeds of negativity, doubt and discouragement?
Keep a close eye on the details of your mind. Mow those negative thoughts down on a regular basis. Notice when it is time to groom your thinking in order to keep your attitude positive.
You can let positive thinking happen or make positive thinking happen. When you choose to Love yourself, you are tending to details.
You are in charge of the tractor or the mower. Don’t make excuses, just get rid of the thinking that does not support your success.
Love Your Slim Self and keep your mind well groomed, looking good and working for you.

Love Showing Up!
This past week, there was an opportunity to attend an event two hours away in New Hampshire. Six of us gathered at 5:30 in the morning, in a parking lot near the route we had planned to take.
Even though it was just before sunrise, everyone was wide awake and brought their excitment, energy and enthusiasm. Since we were traveling together, in the same car, there was a delightful anticipation of also having some fun.
We “showed up” for each other. It was almost taken for granted that we came committed and prepared to help create a trip that would be positive and enjoyable. We had a blast!
Think about what it means to “show up” for yourself. What if you were to “show up” for yourself, all day, every day, and with excitment, energy and enthusiasm? What if “Showing Up” meant you were also going to have some fun?
Soften the inner voice in your head that might say:”I’m too tired”, “I don’t have the time”, “I’ll never make it work out”, “No one will notice”….BUT..You will notice!
“Show up” for yourself with passion, enthusiasm, and energy. Remind yourself that you count. Loving yourself is a way to support your motivation for your life to be better. It is a truth that we want life to be better…not perfect, just better.
You can share my new motto and enjoy the day! “If it isn’t any fun….find another way to do it”
Be well and stay that way,

Love The Wind!
Have you ever stopped long enough to watch the wind? You might notice the wind while you are taking a walk, sitting on your porch or riding along on your bicycle.
There could be a gust of wind, a balmy breeze, a playful wind among the wild flowers or a rustling wind in the branches of the trees. The truth is, there is nothing you can do to change the wind, or stop the wind, slow it down or even make the wind go faster. In fact, you really can not actually see the wind, you just notice the changes it makes when it passes by.
What if your thoughts were just “wind in your brain”? Then you wouldn’t be able to control your thinking.
And you could blame the wind for all the problems.
But wait, the good news is that you can have an impact on your thinking. Unlike the wind, which you can not control, you do have the ability to choose your thoughts. The better news is that you are responsible for your thinking!
Start by simply watching what passes through your mind. Are they thoughts that support your well being or are they ones that cause distress?
By remembering to Love Your Slim Self, your new thinking moves you to making healthy and positive choices. And
with better choices, you have fewer problems.
Have a week filled with moments of watching nature dance with joy and aliveness.

Love Your Thinking
Summer is handing us all a delightful entrance into the autumn of the year. No doubt about it.. the weather will change, the leaves on the trees will change, your clothing will change, your activities will change, your eating habits will change and even your thinking will change.
You have no control over the seasons changing, no control over the weather or the color of the leaves, but you do have control over your thinking.
Choose your thoughts carefully and with intention. Remind yourself that: “Right Thought” creates “Right Speech” and “Right Speech” sets the stage for “Right Action”…use these tools when stepping out into the world.
Whether by yourself, in your work or with your family and loved ones, stay vigilant to your thinking. By keeping your thoughts, your speech and your actions positive and compassionate, you will continually open the door of tomorrow with grace and gratitude.
Make sure you are giving yourself the positive messages to encourage and continue the change for your wellbeing and your success.
Each time you acknowledge a loving part of yourself, you are building strong skills to Love Your Slim Self.
Be well and stay that way,
