Love the Mud!
It has been raining for the past three days here in New England. March and April often bring the showers which soften the earth, nourish the soil and make it possible for tulips to bloom.
Have you ever gotten stuck in the mud? You might have been driving your car down a dirt road, or walking in rain boots through muddy puddles.
My boot actually came right off my foot as the soft, gushy, soil captured my foot wear and forced me to land in a muddy puddle with only my socks.
Good thing no one was watching. I came so close to landing on my face in the mud and decided to laugh myself back to balance.
Are there events or even people in your life that act like “muddy puddles” and capture your self esteem, throwing you off balance?
Next time that happens, take a big breath, give yourself permission to smile and relax so you don’t fall flat on your face.
Loving yourself unconditionally is your best defense. Mud is only temporary and absolutely essential for spring flowers to show up.
Smiles, Gena
